There seems to be a brief acceleration in time, each year, between August and November. One minute we are still eating on our patio, and the next we are hunkering down during a windstorm making plans for our guests on Thanksgiving!
This year, my 2nd holiday season in business, I am signed up for a plethora of holiday markets. Most of them are here in my hometown of Edmonds at the local holiday market. Truth be told, there is just not many places I would rather be this time of year. Our local community and downtown areas are very festive, and I just like to be in the midst of it on the weekends.
The Holiday Market is located in the same spot as the Summer (Farmers) Market, along 5th Ave N. and Bell Street. There are vendors hosting displays of their hand-made goods, food vendors to keep you full & warm, and the Edmonds Trolley to drive you around town, for FREE, to visit the various parts of town for gift-buying.
All that to say I ENCOURAGE YOU to plan for a Saturday in our midst. Put on your gloves and hat and come on down to visit us! Keep an open mind as to what you will find. I'm certain you will find something for everyone on your list.
